Actually David, I think the problem is not a feedback loop but rather interaction between Fresh From FriendFeed and Twitter (the plugin that posts these things) and WP-Super-Cache, a plugin I just installed yesterday which is designed to reduce server load.
Either that, or gahrie is right. 🙂
