I was going to say that it’s been a weird bowl season, in that there have been a number of big upsets, and people’s prediction records have suffered as a result. But then I looked back at last year’s standings. At this point last year, the LEADER had a record of 7-4!

At later points, the leader or co-leaders were 9-5, 11-6, 12-6, 13-7, 14-7, 15-7, and 20-10. (I don’t know the leader’s record at all points, just the ones where I happened to post detailed updates.) The winner finished 21-13.

Also, at an earlier point last year, leader Brenden Roche (5-3) was the ONLY person in the contest above .500.
