With the NIT quarterfinals halfway finished, Josh Rubin sits in first place in the 6th annual Living Room Times NIT Pool. Seven contestants, including Rubin, are still mathematically alive to win the pool.

Anywhere between two and five more contestants will be eliminated tomorrow, when Illinois plays Dayton and Virginia Tech plays Rhode Island in the last two quarterfinals. After the jump, a look at the pool victory scenarios following each of tomorrow’s four possible outcomes.

If Illinois, VT win:
Kelly Strutz wins if Illinois wins title
Dan Port wins if VT beats Illinois in title game
Josh Rubin wins if VT beats Ole Miss in title game
Joe Hiegel wins if Ole Miss beats VT in title game
Greg Kagan wins if UNC beats Illinois or plays Ole Miss (win or lose) in title game

If Illinois, URI win:
Kelly Strutz wins if Illinois wins title
Rick Boeckler wins if Illinois is runner-up
Joe Hiegel wins if Ole Miss & URI are finalists
Rick Boeckler wins if Ole Miss & UNC are finalists

If Dayton, VT win:
Josh Rubin wins if VT beats UNC in semifinal
Greg Kagan wins if UNC beats VT in semifinal

If Dayton, URI win:
Steve Ivey wins if Dayton wins title, or loses title game to URI
Rick Boeckler wins if UNC wins title, or loses title game to Ole Miss
Joe Hiegel wins if Ole Miss & URI are finalists
