Some of you are going to attack me for this.

The problem is, no sex offender is ever “fixed”. The vast majority of them re-offend if given the chance. Almost everyone agree there is something wrong with them, that can’t be fixed. It is simply unacceptable to release them back into society.

    So we have two choices:

Lock them up forever or execute them.

The Left has fixed things so that it is no longer possible to execute them, which I think we should be doing. Not as punishment, and even not as revenge. We should kill them for the same reason you kill a rabid dog, public safety. Due to activist judges the meaning of “cruel and unusual punishment” has evolved to preclude executing monsters even after due process that the Founding Fathers would have shot down in the streets.

So what can we do when this scum serves their sentences, are paroled or are judged to be sane after being committed to a mental hospital? What the several states have done, and now the Federal government is doing, is to re-commit them civilly, which truly is a violation of their Constitutional rights.

This decision is horrendous. It puts all of our liberties at risk and gives the government far too much power. Mark my words, the power this decision grants the government will expand and be abused…..that is what always happens with governmental power.

gahrie – perhaps we (the country) should just billet ’em in the home of the Judge or Parole Board member(s) who release ’em ?

FWIW – some sex offenders are registered as such for being caught being gay … these, too, cannot be fixed – but, then again, they don’t need to be fixed …

I suspect the solution will end up being a reclassification of violent sexual offences into a category equivalent to murder, for which the death penalty *is* acceptable to most people …

Me, I’m not going to denounce you … cuz you are being rational …
