In other iPad/Sci-Fi news, I was watching an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation on my TiVo last night, and it showed a bunch of those tablet things that the officers use to make & read reports and whatnot. And it occurred to me, man, those things look freakin’ primitive compared to the iPad.
Come to think of it, they look a bit like Kindles. So basically, by the 24th century, we apparently regress from iPads to Kindles. Go figure.
The iPad reminds me most of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. All that is needed is the words “Don’t Panic” printed in a friendly fashion on the cover.

Although, actually, I think I’d prefer one that said “PANIC!!!!!” 🙂
