Hmm..end of July and I am still the only person to mention Democratic Senate candidate Alvin Greene on this blog…..
Ha! I’ve considered posting something about Alvin Greene a bunch of times, but I haven’t because the whole situation is so bizarre, I don’t know what to say about it — and I knew that, whatever I posted, you’d jump on it the instant I did. At one point, I was tempted to post a fairly compelling analysis of the election results as involving potential shenanigans, but I didn’t want to be accused of being a tinfoil-hatter, so I held off, waiting more evidence, which never came. Now I view it as simply a comedy story. It’s not like the Dems had any chance in S.C. anyway, so the story is really of no national significance. But it is damn funny.
Anyway, what do you want me to say? That South Carolina Democrats nominated a unqualified idiot for U.S. Senate? Okay. SOUTH CAROLINA DEMOCRATS NOMINATED AN UNQUALIFIED IDIOT FOR U.S. SENATE! Because I’m not the partisan hack you take me for, that wasn’t even remotely painful for me. But if it makes you happy, I’m glad to oblige.
