No, only content like movies and tv shows that are ON your computer, or streamed from iTunes.
If you want to watch TV broadcasts on your TV you need to go with a Mac-mini which has conveniently added a new HDMI out port, or some other option.
The Apple TV is not now, nor has it ever been a product targeted at those that want a media center PC. The MacMini can handle that just fun, but the goals of the Apple TV are pretty specific, it’s not a “geek” product.
