The unsubstantiated attack on the Chamber of Commerce is Obama’s lamest attempt yet to find a bogeyman to distract voters ahead of Nov. 2. Axelrod was especially hilarious on Face the Nation demanding that the Chamber prove a negative that the allegations are false when he couldn’t offer a shred of proof himself. Even the NYTimes isn’t buying this crap.
Yeah, agreed, it’s pretty f***ing lame.
What’s ironic is, while the Chamber is being accused of succumbing to foreign influence, the government and the Fed are handing over trillions in bonds and capital to the Chinese. Tragicomic.
It’s also ironic that, as Rich Lowry points out, “the party that’s content to let millions of foreigners cross our southern border to live and work here without our permission has otherwise become a locus of foreigner-baiting political advocacy. Is it possible to be post-American and xenophobic at the same time?”
