What a great opening four days. Yeah, "my" teams (USC, Gonzaga and Notre Dame) are all gone, but still, a lot to love so far, and a lot to look forward to.

Urgh. If you had followed the Yahoo format for picks, I’d be getting credit for all of these VCU upsets!
Heh. Indeed. Except, it’s not if “I had followed” anything. It’s if you hadn’t changed your bracket!! I’m addressing this very issue in my next post. Everyone else who picked USC is getting credit for VCU’s run, pursuant to the rules, which actually spelled out this very hypothetical scenario. But you changed your bracket right after the First Four, thus losing credit for the two First Four games you got right AND, it turns out, losing out on all these VCU points.
You know what I love about March? Basketball season is almost over 😀
I’d be okay with that if I actually thought VCU would beat Georgetown and Purdue, but I didn’t. Which is why I went back and changed the picks. In the Yahoo system, since there was no such opportunity to discriminate between USC and VCU — you either picked that seed to win or you didn’t — I’m more comfortable with getting credit for VCU’s run.
