Hmm. Can’t quite put my finger on it, but I sense a slight difference between these two august publications, in terms of how they are characterizing and illustrating yesterday’s news. Heh.

P.S. In this particular case, it should be noted, practitioners of “liberal media bias” have the distinct advantage of being factually correct. Take, for example, this wonderful lede from the NYT’s front page news analysis. Brilliant, pithy, hilarious, and indisputably accurate in every respect. (Though I might have said “could” instead of “should” in the first sentence, to neuter any accusation of crossing the line from “analysis” to “editorial.” But that’s nitpicking. It’s a fantastic graf.)
