The difference being that Auburn hasn’t done anything offensively anyway. Oregon had a great drive going before the TD.

Also, how was that not intentional grounding?

The only thing I can think so far is that they probably shouldn’t hold the NC game 5+ weeks after the end of the regular season.

Wait, Cam’s dad was his “rock” through out the whole eligibility/scandal thing? That proves to me Cam knew what was going on. If he didn’t, woudln’t he be pissed as hell at his dad for potentially making him ineligible?!?

“Gee dad, I know this is all your fault and I didn’t know what was going on, but thanks for helping me through this tough time” Yeah THAT makes sense.

More like “Gee dad, thanks for taking the fall for me on that and telling them I didn’t know even though I did, you are my rock”. Yeah, i’m gonna go with that one.

What a disappointing game. Crap football all around. Disappointing play-calling. Auburn got tentative and conservative, while Oregon threw away eight points on arrogance. I officially no longer think Chip Kelly is the most genius coach in college football.

The ridiculously long layoff between the regular season and the BCS title game is really a killer. That point needs to be factored into any playoff discussion. How many of these sloppy title games must we be subjected to? I freely acknowledge the drawbacks of an 8- or 16-team playoff, but one of the clear benefits is that the teams in the title game wouldn’t be playing their first game in a month and a half. Shake off the rust in the quarterfinals or round of 16, and by the time the final rolls around, the last two teams standing would be primed and ready to go…

@Brendan, is it really all that different from the Rose Bowl back when the Pac-10 and Big Ten didn’t even play games in December? I agree they should do something about the timing, but its not like that long of a stretch is really all that unique.

Really? Is TCU better than Auburn… or Oregon for that matter? They got the gift of Big-10 tomato can in their bowl. That proves about as much as their whole regular season.

Bullshit Sandy, beating Wisconsin wasn’t easy. Neither was going undefeated. Furthermore, TCU did it without having to rely on a player who shouldn’t have even been allowed to play. Not to mention they weren’t nearly as dirty as Auburn. I mean honestly did you see that player who kicked an Oregon guy and didn’t get ejected from th game? Not to mention numerous actions by Fairley throughout the season that should have gotten him suspended.

Didn’t Fairley eye-gouge James or one of the Ducks while they were on the ground? Auburn will completely stink next season and Scam will be another NFL bust, and the Heisman and BCS championship will be vacated, but none of that makes TCU better. Beating Wisconsin may not be easy, but Michigan St. did it, by 10 points, and they ain’t national championship material either. TCU, join a real conference and learn what it’s like to play real competition week in and week out.

Utah? Their BCS bowl days are over.

Yeah, the reason Boise State, TCU, Nevada, Utah,, etc. schedule the way they do is bcause they aren’t willing to take on tougher opponents or refuse to join BCS conferences.

To put it politely, are you f*ing kidding me?!?
