In case you missed it, the Seattle Seahawks improved to 8-9 (the first NFL team ever to even have that record) and advanced to the second round of the playoffs after upsetting the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints in Seattle on Saturday. The win was highlighted by an incredible 67 yard run by Seahawks Running back (and former Cal Bear) Marshawn Lynch. Check it out below, it was unbelievable.

There have been plenty of 8-9 teams. 8-8 teams have lost first round playoff games several times.
8-10, on the other hand…
P.S. I love that the Seahawks can finish with a winning record if and only if they win the Super Bowl. LOL!
I stand corrected Matt, I heard one of the announcers say that after the game on Saturday. Perhaps he meant only 8-9 team to advance to the next round or something.
The Seahawks are the only 7-9 team to ever win their division and host a playoff game.
